C__Data_Users_DefApps_AppData_INTERNETEXPLORER_Temp_Saved Images_CHICHIlady.jpgIf fortune were dogs, I’ll buy a girly Chihuahua
I’ll brush her silky hair and stroke her all my life
I’ll rain kisses on her without shame or denial
And feed her ears with all of my love.
She’s petite, priceless and pretty
Though folks think her a toy
I’ll treat her not like child, but as sister dear
A faithful and loyal companion
She was made to be all her days.
Drawing daily from her well of intelligence
I shall never let the cold fangs of earth touch her
Or treat her like she’ll break
Cause folks say she’s small or fragile.
At dawn we’ll walk through the neighbourhood
And socialise at every outing
Every night before sleep takes me
In her bulging eyes, I’ll stare deeply
And find my eternity in the knowledge
That fortune isn’t just paper or property
But a portable pocket of pure purpose.
