Big stone, a photo from Agadez, East _ TrekEarth.jpgHe’s beyond the mother sand
Staring at you with anticipation
Like your own image in a mirror
With all the spots and giant acne
Not so much of alien but family
He reminds you of your first trip
To the place with a hazy destination
His weight, none can dare to lift
But he craves to never be left behind
He’s a rock or a rock is in him
And may he never fall on you
Whoever falls on him is a new born
With a flesh untouched by rash
But whoever he falls on is crushed to rubble
And sentenced to every delicious damnation
‘He’s just a stone’, some declare for fame
But he’s more than a stone; he’s the rock.
